Overview
The Glass Polisher is responsible for ensuring all bar and dinning glassware is cleaned, polished, and presentation-ready in accordance with Angelina’s Restaurant standards. This role supports bar and front-of-house operations by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization while complying with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Polish and sanitize all bar glassware to ensure a spotless, streak-free presentation.
- Inspect glassware for chips, cracks, or defects and remove damaged items from service.
- Maintain proper organization and storage of glassware in designated bar areas.
- Assist with restocking clean glassware for bar and service stations as needed.
- Follow all company sanitation procedures and local health department regulations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards (including proper handling of hot water, chemicals, and glassware).
- Maintain cleanliness of polishing stations, sinks, and surrounding work areas.
- Safely handle, transport, and store glassware to prevent breakage or injury.
- Communicate effectively with bar staff and management regarding inventory levels and operational needs.
- Perform additional support duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain all cleaning tools and equipment in excellent condition, ensuring they are used correctly with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Skills
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (or as required by state law).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands for polishing and handling glassware.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to understand workplace safety standard procedures
Work Environment
Fast-paced restaurant and bar setting.
- Exposure to wet floors, cleaning chemicals, and glassware.
- Must adhere to all workplace safety guidelines.
