Overview: Lead field service for commercial standby systems (10kW–2000kW). You’ll diagnose complex issues, perform major repairs, and support 24/7 emergency response for mission-critical clients.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced diagnostics: engine, controls, and electrical systems
- Major repairs/overhauls on diesel & natural gas units
- Commissioning, load bank testing, and performance verification
- ATS troubleshooting and integration
- Mentor junior techs; ensure quality and safety compliance
- Manage service documentation and customer communication
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements:
- 8+ years generator or related field service experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting (AC/DC, controls)
- Proficient reading schematics and OEM manuals
- Valid driver’s license; clean record
- Ability to work independently in the field
Preferred:
- OEM certifications (Cummins, Generac, Kohler, CAT, MTU)
- Experience with paralleling switchgear/controls
