Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook food items with attention to safety standards in production and food handling practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Follow food safety management procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with catering events
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, and cooking appliances
- Support food service operations by plating dishes promptly and accurately for service or catering needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, culinary roles, or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards in production environments and food handling protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests or clients
- Basic understanding of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
