Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
- Use effective phone etiquette to answer inquiries and assist customers remotely when needed
- Support inventory management by conducting stock checks and replenishing merchandise as necessary
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage with diverse customers
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and retail math tasks efficiently
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse customer base effectively
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated supervising experience is valued for leadership opportunities within the team
