Job Overview
Seeking an experienced HVAC Technician Lead (this is a senior level job that requires advanced HVAC knowledge) to directly work and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge technical expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship, ensuring all HVAC operations meet the highest safety and performance standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works on HVAC systems including but not limited to package air conditioners, split systems, DX systems, controls, etc.
- Performs standard preventative maintenance duties on all HVAC and High Efficiency Boiler Equipment.
- Troubleshoots and diagnose problems, change out compressors, failed parts, etc. on all A/C equipment.
- Soldering, brazing refrigerant lines, water lines, etc. required
- Performs daily debriefing with dispatcher and tech team on job status and information regarding equipment ID, completed tasks, problems encountered, assistance needed with repairs, etc.
- Understands technical schematics and control circuits.
- Acts as service ambassador with the customer and presents our company in a positive light.
- Properly handles refrigerant, reclaimer, vacuum pump and other essential tools.
- Follows industry standard safety practices including knowledge of MSDS, tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines.
- Properly operates and maintains Company Vehicle and maintain truck inventory.
- Establish relationships with other technicians to learn from them to be able to troubleshoot customer tickets
- Satisfactorily completes necessary training classes as required
Requirements:
- Combination of education and experience would be beneficial but not required.
- Candidates must be proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving technical issues related to HVAC equipment.
- Basic in computer skills, experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Available to perform overtime/on call duties when required
Experience and Certifications:
- 4+ years Commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Service required
- EPA Universal certification
- Driver's License in good standing
- OSHA Credentials Preferred: OSHA 30; OSHA 10 SST
- Fire Department Credentials: F60; G60 certifications a must
- This position works alone and as part of a Team
- Training skills required
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
