MRI Technologist – Mobile MRI Unit (VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA)

About the Role
We're looking for a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team supporting a mobile MRI trailer stationed at the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. In this role, you'll provide high-quality imaging services to our nation's veterans in a dedicated, single-modality mobile unit. You'll be an employee of our company, contracted to deliver imaging services on-site at the VA — giving you the structure and support of a dedicated employer with the mission-driven satisfaction of serving those who served.
Schedule & Volume
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
- Approximately 20 patient scans per day
- Full-time hours with a condensed, predictable weekly schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay: $45–$55/hour, commensurate with experience
- Monthly scan bonus: Additional earning potential based on monthly scan volume thresholds

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI scans on veteran patients in a mobile trailer setting
- Position patients correctly and select appropriate imaging protocols
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the scanning process, including MRI safety screening
- Maintain and troubleshoot mobile MRI equipment, coordinating with service teams as needed
- Accurately document scans and maintain patient records in compliance with VA and company standards
- Collaborate with VA staff, radiologists, and referring providers to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards (ACR, state licensure, etc.)
Qualifications
- ARRT certification in MRI
- Current state licensure as required
- Prior MRI experience required; mobile unit experience a plus
- BLS certification
- Ability to pass VA background check and credentialing requirements
- Strong communication skills and comfort working independently in a mobile unit setting
- Compassion and professionalism when working with veteran patients
