Now Hiring: Full-time Community Resource Coordinator
Dakin Humane Society is looking for a Community Resource Coordinator! Someone who understands that helping pets means helping people, that trust is built through connection, and that sometimes the most important meetings happen within the neighborhoods we serve. This job is about connecting people, programs, and partners, working side by side with community organizations, local leaders, and Dakin’s internal teams to make sure our services are accessible, relevant, and reaching the people and pets who need them most. If you’re bilingual (English/Spanish), people-smart, animal-comfortable, data-capable, and can switch from heartfelt conversation to spreadsheet without breaking a sweat, keep reading!
Your Mission (Should you choose to accept it):
- Build strong relationships with community organizations, social service partners, and local leaders.
- Collaborate with Dakin staff to bring clinics, resources, and outreach into the community.
- Listen to pet owners, collect feedback, and help remove barriers to care.
- Recruit and support community outreach volunteers.
- Track data, spot trends, and help us do better next time.
- Step in calmly for the occasional complex or emotional situation.
- Represent Dakin with professionalism, kindness, and patience (even when things get a little chaotic).
- Are fluent in English and Spanish (reading, speaking, and writing)
- Like people, animals, and solving problems (sometimes all at once).
- Can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball…or the dog food.
- Are collaborative, flexible, and steady under pressure.
- Are comfortable with animals, computers, and real-world messiness.
- Experience with cats and dogs is a plus. A sense of humor helps a lot.
