American Traveler is seeking a Step Down RN for a night shift PCU position requiring at least 1 year of telemetry experience and an OH or compact RN license.

PCU/Step Down unit within a teaching hospital setting
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required within OSU facilities
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Cardiac monitoring and telemetry patient population, including on-unit and remote monitoring
-
Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
-
BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required

Must be able to pass a telemetry competency test

Experience monitoring telemetry patients required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration

Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Experience with insulin drip titration and IV insulin protocols preferred
-
Wound care and wound vac experience preferred
-
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director and no coworker references accepted

Provide direct patient care in a step-down/PCU environment including cardiac monitoring and rapid response coordination

Current facility employees are not eligible for travel assignments at this location

RTO must be submitted and built into the contract prior to start, limited to 7 days or less
