Juno, an acclaimed Japanese restaurant located in Lincoln Park, is seeking an experienced server to join our team. We are searching for a true professional with a passion for great cuisine and service and offer the ability to work with fine products in a consistent, established environment with long-term stability. This position is full-time, and weekend availability is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Works well with our entire team to ensure a smooth service
- Be hospitable to all guests and engage in genuine and personable conversation
- Listens attentively
- Be knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu and be able to answer any questions from our guests
- Positive attitude and reliable
- Flexible and works well in a constantly changing environment
- Full knowledge of our menu to design an exceptional guest experience
- Follows up with guests by asking about their meal to ensure guest satisfaction
Requirements:
* 2+ years of serving experience
* Experience with Japanese cuisine is a plus
* Ability to complete various duties assigned with a high level of attention to detail
* Maintain a professional demeanor and effective, respectful communication with staff and management
* Provide courteous and detailed service to all clientele
* Must be punctual, reliable, motivated to learn, team-oriented and solution-oriented
* Knowledgeable in wine, spirits, and sake
* Certificates: Food Handlers, Food Allergen, and Bassett required.
