Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team on 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with overhead cranes, slitter machinery, cut-to-length machinery, and industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
This position requires flexibility to work at our current facility and our future facility in Waller, Texas, as the company transitions operations.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM –12 AM
- Overtime as required
- Must be available to work weekends when needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
- Maintain and repair overhead cranes, slitter lines, cut-to-length machines, conveyors, and related industrial equipment.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and prevent unplanned downtime.
- Install, adjust, and replace components such as motors, pumps, valves, cylinders, bearings, chains, belts, and other mechanical parts.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance documentation.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with facility maintenance projects and equipment installations as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience working with overhead cranes, slitter machines, and cut-to-length machinery required.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.
