Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, driving the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and products. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for customers experiencing mechanical or equipment-related issues.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex mechanical problems involving industrial machinery and equipment.
- Support equipment installations, commissioning, startup, repairs, upgrades, and modifications.
- Review mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
- Work directly with customers to understand equipment performance issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, field service, parts, and sales teams to resolve customer concerns.
- Analyze equipment failures and perform root cause investigations to improve reliability and prevent repeat issues.
- Develop repair procedures, technical service documentation, and recommended equipment modifications.
- Assist with identifying replacement parts and aftermarket solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers and field service personnel.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, solutions, equipment modifications, and customer interactions.
- Travel to customer locations as needed to provide hands-on technical support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, field service engineering, aftermarket support, industrial equipment, or a related technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, bearings, and related equipment components.
- Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical equipment and performing root cause analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to resolving technical challenges.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment, custom machinery, material handling systems, or other complex industrial equipment. Experience with equipment installations, commissioning, startup, and aftermarket service.
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering documentation.
- Knowledge of electrical controls, PLCs, and industrial automation is a plus.
- Previous experience working directly with customers in an aftermarket, field service, or technical support role.
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is **$110,000–$130,000 annually**, depending on experience, technical background, and qualifications.
