About the Position:
We are seeking caring, dependable, and dedicated Paraprofessionals to join our team. Paraprofessionals provide direct support to students and teachers in the classroom, helping ensure that each student has the resources and guidance they need to succeed. Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instruction, activities, and supervision
- Support students individually or in small groups as directed
- Help manage student behavior and promote a positive learning environment
- Assist students with special needs in meeting their educational and developmental goals
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain organized learning spaces
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other activities as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or administrator
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must meet Illinois State Board of Education paraprofessional licensure requirements https://www.isbe.net/Pages/paraprofessional-educator.aspx
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with teachers, students, and staff
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
