Job Summary

Duties
- Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately handling cash, credit card, and digital payments while balancing the cash drawer at shift end
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product recommendations
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing products to create an appealing shopping environment
- Manage retail sales transactions smoothly, ensuring all sales are processed correctly using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store operations by supervising junior team members during busy periods and assisting with inventory management
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong cash handling skills
- Previous supervising experience in a retail or grocery store setting is highly desirable
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling to enhance customer engagement and sales performance
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
- Familiarity with grocery store operations including stocking procedures and grocery store experience preferred
- Strong phone etiquette skills combined with exceptional customer service orientation
- Basic math skills necessary for daily cash handling and retail transactions

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
