Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will help keep our fleet running smoothly while providing top-notch customer service. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, utilizing your technical prowess and passion for automotive repair.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose automotive issues using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify problems accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair or replace critical components including transmissions, powertrain parts, shocks & struts, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and auto body repairs when necessary to restore vehicle safety features.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle systems following manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimating reports, and communicate repair progress clearly to customers.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as air brake systems and welding procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems, auto estimating software, and GM vehicle specifications.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools effectively.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly and professionally.
- Mechanical knowledge of suspension systems, alignment procedures, tire service including shocks & struts replacement, and auto body repair techniques. Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
