We are seeking a Partner specializing in workers' compensation defense to join our reputable firm.
The ideal candidate will have a portable book of business amounting to 50+ case files.
Responsibilities:

Representing our clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.

Developing and implementing defense strategies and negotiating settlements.

Handling a high volume of cases from inception through resolution.

Conducting legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions.

Providing legal advice to our clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations.

Participating in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.

Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure cases are handled efficiently.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice in North Carolina.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.

Portable business with a minimum of 50 transferrable case files.

Proven track record of successful defense strategies and case resolutions.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in legal research and writing.

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

High level of integrity and professional ethics.
