Full-Time | Amarillo, Texas and Regional Jobsites
Reports To
QC & Materials Manager
Experience
3+ years in crushing, aggregates, or a related operation
The Opportunity
Fuller and Sons Construction is looking for a hands-on Crusher Superintendent to lead our aggregate crushing operations. This position owns the safe, efficient, and consistent performance of assigned crews and equipment—from daily production and product quality to maintenance coordination, housekeeping, and employee development.
This is not a desk-only supervisory role. The right person will be visible in the operation, set clear expectations, solve problems quickly, and hold the crew accountable while maintaining a professional, team-first approach.
What You Will Do
Lead day-to-day crusher and screening operations to meet production, quality, and schedule goals.
Direct, train, and motivate assigned crews; provide clear, objective, and timely performance feedback.
Plan daily work, assign employees and equipment, and adjust operations as site conditions or priorities change.
Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure finished products meet project specifications and approved mix requirements.
Monitor plant performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to production, product quality, safety, and cost.
Coordinate inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and welding needs to reduce downtime and keep equipment ready.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, vehicles, equipment, stockpiles, and jobsite access routes.
Enforce company safety policies and applicable MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
Report production activity, equipment concerns, quality issues, safety concerns, and crew needs to the QC & Materials Manager.
Maintain required federal, state, and local licenses or documentation necessary for continued operation.
Work independently, exercise sound judgment, and perform other duties assigned by the QC & Materials Manager.
What We Are Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of relevant experience in aggregate crushing, screening, mining, materials production, or a closely related operation.
Working knowledge of crushing equipment, aggregates, raw materials, product specifications, and production quality control.
Demonstrated ability to lead employees, enforce standards, communicate expectations, and follow through.
Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and jobsite safety requirements.
Mechanical aptitude and welding ability.
Ability to read and follow written work instructions, complete basic reports, compute unit conversions and volumes, and work confidently with fractions.
Ability to manage changing priorities, tight production schedules, and deadlines.
Valid driver's license and reliable ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
Ability to complete the company's Explosives Handling & Safety Training when required.
What Success Looks Like
Production goals are consistently met without sacrificing safety or product quality.
Material-related rework remains below 1% of contract value.
The QC & Materials Manager receives accurate, timely updates on daily activity and emerging issues.
The operation remains compliant, orderly, and free of preventable major safety incidents or property damage.
Required licenses and operating documentation remain current.
Assigned work is completed accurately, fully, and on time.
Physical and Work Requirements
This position works primarily outdoors and may be exposed to heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, dust, noise, uneven terrain, and moving equipment. The employee must be able to sit or stand for extended periods; use hands to handle tools and equipment; bend, crouch, kneel, climb, and crawl; distinguish colors and depth; hear and respond to workplace signals; and regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Extended hours, early starts, nights, weekends, and travel may be required based on production and project needs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
