Position: Coordinator of CTE/College and Career Readiness
Salary Schedule/Base Annual Rate (Subject to Change): Administrative Salary Schedule $92,090.00. Additional credit for related years of service and education.
Work Calendar: 12 months, 261 days
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
FLSA Status: Exempt

About the Role
The goal of the Coordinator of Career and Technical Education is to support the mission, vision, and goals of J.O. Combs Unified School District, and develop and supervise Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Oversee federal and state grants and East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) satellite funds.

Provide instructional leadership for program refinement and development.

Maintain program safety and compliance regulations.
-
Evaluate the progress, needs and opportunities for continued development of the CTE programs.

Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders in policy making, workforce and economic development.

Supervise faculty and student recruitment and retention plans.
-
Effectively collaborate with principals, teachers and district administration.
-
Conduct formative classroom observations of teachers.
-
Facilitate professional development resources for faculty improvements and continuing CTE certification.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor all CTE programs to ensure that they meet or exceed Local Education Agency (LEA), State, and National requirements.

Promote effective CTE Student Organizations with shared responsibility among teachers.

Attend regularly scheduled CTE consortium and Arizona Department of Education (ADE) meetings and disseminate information to CTE teachers and administrators, as appropriate, in the school.

Meet or exceed all deadlines for information requested from ADE, EVIT Office and Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT) office.

Attend regularly scheduled school-based department chair meetings and share information in CTE department meetings.

Prepare annual budgets; order supplies, instructional materials and equipment according to district procedures; maintain inventory records as required.

Ensure that the student database is maintained to identify all special and non-special population students who are enrolled in CTE courses and that all students are being appropriately served.

Manage and implement Student State CTE Assessments and use data to assess the impact and quality of CTE programs.

Encourage teacher participation and leadership in local, state, regional, and national professional organizations and meetings.

Plan, design, and oversee implementation of new programs in support of District's mission.

Attend professional development workshops in job related areas.

Attend Governing Board meetings as required.

Perform related duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to move about the campuses and to drive to the schools and departments in the district. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
