About the Job
G & G Industries, an ISO/TS 16949 supplier of automotive interior trim components & engine compartment insulators, and industry leader in manufacturing composite molded substrates, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will oversee, troubleshoot, and perform service to all company manufacturing equipment for optimum production output according to company quality standards and IATF 16949 guidelines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for all activities in the Maintenance Department, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform safety compliance inspections and maintain equipment records.
- Coordinate and monitor the work of outside contractors when needed and report progress and/or issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Schedule, perform, and manage Preventative Maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct critical spare parts cataloging and management.
- Coordination of mold and stamping die changes with production schedulers.
- Must be able to work in hot conditions, especially during large tool changes and other high-temperature tasks.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes and confined spaces.
- Perform mold and stamping die changes.
- Participation in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Ensure machines are serviced in an efficient and timely manner to reduce production downtime.
- Ensure compliance of environmental and sanitation regulations.
- Facilities maintenance
- Promote a teamwork environment
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Desired Skills:
- Proficient with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with Hydraulic & Mechanical presses
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Computer and spreadsheet proficiency
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards
Desired Work Experience:
- Preferred Candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hydraulic, Mechanical and Electrical Systems maintenance
- Facilities maintenance
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Some relevant coursework preferred (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding)

During the first 90-days of training, the Temporary Hours will be 9am to 7pm, this will allow training with both shifts. After 90-days of training, the hours will then be our 2nd Shift hours, 2:30pm to 12:30am.
