We are seeking a Construction Assistant Operations Manager to support our Construction Operations Manager with estimating, scheduling, and operational coordination for residential renovation and turnover projects.
This position is primarily office-based and focused on project planning, estimating, scheduling, and operational oversight. The role requires strong construction knowledge to accurately prepare scopes of work, review estimates, coordinate materials, and support the overall production process.You will work closely with our Construction Operations Manager to ensure projects are properly estimated, scheduled, and coordinated so crews can complete work efficiently and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and reviewing project estimates, scopes of work, and budgets
- Support operational coordination of renovation, turnover, and production projects
- Assist with project scheduling and production planning
- Coordinate with crews and subcontractors to maintain project timelines
- Help manage material ordering, deliveries, and job allocations
- Review estimate worksheets and project details for accuracy before work begins
- Track project progress and communicate updates to management
- Support oversight of field crews through scheduling and production coordination
- Maintain project documentation, job costing data, and operational records
- Assist leadership with improving estimating accuracy and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, remodeling, or residential renovation
- Strong understanding of estimating, scopes of work, and job costing
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with spreadsheets, estimating worksheets, and project tracking
- Office-based role requiring construction knowledge rather than field labor
- Experience with Chief Architect is a plus
- Carpentry or general construction knowledge is beneficial
