Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Salaried Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations at Dog Haus Biergarten stone oak. This pivotal role combines management expertise with culinary passion, ensuring exceptional food quality, outstanding customer service, and efficient restaurant performance. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a motivated and skilled culinary team.
- Supervise food safety practices in compliance with health regulations and company policies; conduct regular safety audits.
- Control inventory levels through accurate tracking and ordering using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; minimize waste and optimize food costs.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and POS system operations during shifts.
- Lead shift management by coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong team aligned with the restaurant’s standards.
- Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.
- Implement training programs focused on food handling, food safety management, customer service excellence, and team leadership.
- Foster a culture of hospitality that emphasizes teamwork, guest satisfaction, and continuous improvement across all restaurant functions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management skills; capable of training and developing staff effectively.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory control techniques, food safety standards, and health regulations within the food industry.
- Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills; able to motivate teams and manage conflict constructively.
- Ability to analyze financial data including profit & loss statements to improve operational performance.
- Hospitality management background with experience managing hospitality teams in hotel or restaurant settings preferred.
- Culinary experience complemented by skills in managing food production, catering services, bar operations, or coffee/barista services is advantageous.
