Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. In this new role, you will be responsible for organizing, tracking, and pulling all parts for our wire harness assembly. You will follow paperwork and access control procedures, ensuring inventory discrepancies are minimized. This is a new role and will require someone who is self-driven, with high detail to attention to details, and proactive about improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management processes; organizing by alphabetical order, cycle counting, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy across all systems.
- Coordinate with leadership about stock levels, and expected use of parts.
- Utilize inventory management systems including digital and paper procedures.
- Manage part picking activities for each wire harness production order, noting any substitutions or shortages.
- Implement process improvements in inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with wire harness team to verify scrapped inventory counts.
- Monitor key metrics related to supply chain, scrap reports, and upcoming needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems and procedures.
- Proficiency with inventory tracking data entry, and Microsoft products.
- Experience in inventory management techniques such as cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and demand planning.
- Ability to communicate effectively and precisely.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking.
- Familiarity with alpha-numeric organization, and manufacturer grouping.
This role requires the physical ability to:
- lift 40lbs occasionally
- see all colors
- stand for extended periods
- work in hot and humid warehouse environments
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
