Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of tractors, heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including tractors, excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, and other construction machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and hydraulic system checks to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools; diagnose issues related to transmissions, diesel engines, HVAC systems, and suspension components.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs.
- Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals and schematics to accurately identify problems and execute repairs efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Use software tools to document work, photos, videos, or other tasks required to complete work
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, diesel engine repair, and transmission systems.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, schematics interpretation, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software, and service manuals to perform repairs accurately.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including tractors, excavators, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high attention to detail during maintenance procedures.
- Certification or training in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment servicing is a plus; valid driver’s license for operating or testing machinery is required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
