Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Per-diem Licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality care to individuals experiencing physical, mental, or cognitive challenges. You will need to provide 6 in-person visits per year per member. You will work collaboratively with a RN to create personalized treatment plans and help patients reach their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs through comprehensive assessments, interviews, and observations.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs, goals, and progress.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Education and Training: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and ways to support recovery and improve ADLs.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a RN, handy worker, as needed
- Others: all other related works.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapy license in NYS.
- Experience: No experience needed; new graduates welcome
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, interventions, and treatment planning.
- Ability to assess and evaluate patients' needs and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
- Empathetic, patient-focused approach to therapy.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with disabilities.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Bilingual English & Chinese or Spanish is a plus
Training:
- Occupational therapists will receive American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) approved credits for completing the CAPABLE OT training program. Upon completion of the curriculum the learner is awarded 1 CEU or 10 contact hours.
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
