American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of hospital inpatient experience for a 13-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Richmond, VA.

Inpatient rehabilitation unit located within the main hospital building
-
44-bed unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
-
Patient ratio of 4:1

Patient population includes stroke and neurological rehabilitation cases

Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
-
Equipment includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems

Documentation via Meditech Expanse

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends

May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low

Minimum 2 years of recent hospital inpatient experience required

Experience in stroke evaluation and treatment required

Inpatient rehab experience preferred

Active PT license required if applicable

Must have clinical experience within the last 6 months in the PT role

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification

Candidates are expected to utilize AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices

Preferred dress code is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
