Material Logistics Inventory Manager III

Full time – Temp to hire
Monday through Friday – 8am to 5pm
$23.26hr to $29.23hr depending on experience.
A company regarded by commercial, government, military, and scientific communities as one of the worlds pre-eminent suppliers of high-precision antenna positioning systems and components for a vast array of antenna, optical and sensor systems is seeking a Material Logistics Inventory Manager III to join their team in Northridge.
Summary: Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
- Complete paperwork or forms required for documentation.
- Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
- Prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping.
- Prepare necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
- Handle basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including a forklift. Forklift Certification.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Basic knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems, Excel and Word Processing software.
- Valid California Driver’s license and clean Department of Motor Vehicles driving record.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems. (Costpoint a plus)
Pay: $23.26 - $29.23 per hour
