Duties:
- Handle and restrain animals safely and securely during various procedures
- Assist with pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Provide general care for animals, including feeding, exercising, and monitoring their well-being
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, and other animal housing areas
- Assist veterinary staff with examinations, treatments, and surgeries as needed
- Administer medications and treatments to animals under the direction of a veterinarian or veterinary technician
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Note: This position may also be referred to as a Pet Handler or Animal Caretaker. Veterinary experience is a plus but not required.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
