Responsibilities
-
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Handle general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Assist with cash receipts, disbursements, AP, and payroll functions
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare audit support schedules
- Support state, federal, and grant reporting requirements
- Assist with fund accounting and restricted fund tracking
- Participate in ERP/system implementation initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with departments across the organization
- Assist leadership with budgeting and financial reporting processes
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience required
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Fund accounting, nonprofit, government, or higher education accounting experience preferred
- Audit coordination experience highly preferred
- ERP implementation exposure is a plus
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
