Position Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide compassionate, high-quality, non-medical care to clients in their homes according to an individualized care plan.
Our caregivers assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting safety, independence, dignity, and quality of life.
You will work closely with our office team to ensure each client receives exceptional care and outstanding service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and transportation when appropriate
- Monitor client condition and promptly report any changes or concerns
- Document care provided accurately and completely
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
- Respond appropriately during emergencies
- Perform other assigned duties within the scope of the position
Qualifications Required
- Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1) year of caregiving or direct patient care experience
- Current CPR Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Current automobile insurance
- Current TB Test (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
Preferred
Experience providing care for clients with:
- Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease
- Stroke Recovery
- Parkinson's Disease
- Hospice Support
- Palliative Care
- Post-Surgical Recovery
- Chronic Conditions
Physical Requirements
- Lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Bend, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods
- Safely assist clients with mobility
- Drive to multiple client locations when assigned
- Perform physical caregiving tasks throughout the shift
