Summary
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic kitchen staff to join our culinary team. This part time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals to students at Trimpe Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen team in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Participate in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Ensure timely and efficient food service during peak hours.
- Assist in training and mentoring new kitchen staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
