Position Summary:
The Dental Assistant provides clinical support to the dentist and assists with patient care. This position helps ensure the treatment area is prepared, patients are comfortable, instruments are properly sterilized, and the clinical schedule runs efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during dental procedures.

Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.

Take dental X-rays as permitted by state requirements.

Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas.

Seat and prepare patients for treatment.

Assist with impressions, supplies, and other clinical procedures.

Provide patients with post-treatment instructions.

Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

Keep operatories clean, stocked, and organized.

Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office safety procedures.

Communicate professionally with patients, parents, and coworkers.

Work effectively as part of the dental team.
Qualifications:

Dental assisting experience required.

Dental assisting certification/credentials as required.

CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Dependable and punctual.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
