Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
- Engage with guests warmly to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings to enhance their experience.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of beverage recipes, new drink trends, and bar inventory to ensure seamless service.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately while managing tabs efficiently.
- Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during beverage preparation and serving.
- Manage bar stock levels by monitoring inventory, restocking supplies, and minimizing waste through effective time management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours, including banquet or catering events if applicable.
- Process cash transactions securely while maintaining accurate cash handling records.
- Assist in developing new beverage recipes or cocktail menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting for guests.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety protocols to provide a safe environment for staff and guests.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail creation, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and spirits is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is required for efficient order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple orders simultaneously.
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings that involve food handling, banquet service, or catering is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods gracefully without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management, and food industry knowledge are necessary.
