Responsibilities
- Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Supervise daily store operations, including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining product presentation standards
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties using POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately and efficiently
- Train and mentor team members on sales techniques, phone etiquette, and store policies to foster a motivated team environment
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shopping environment
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and accurate record keeping
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a retail store setting with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong communication skills: fluency in additional languages is a plus
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability to perform retail math including basic calculations for transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of agricultural practices, plumbing, hardware, livestock feeds, pet feeds preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing stocking or customer assistance duties
