Recreational Electrical is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Emergency Vehicle Installer to join our team.
In this role, you'll help build and equip police, fire, EMS, and public works vehicles with the equipment first responders rely on every day. If you enjoy working with vehicles, using tools, and building things the right way, this is an opportunity to develop specialized technical skills in a growing industry.
Automotive experience is helpful, but it isn't required. We're looking for mechanically inclined individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We provide on-the-job training.
What You'll Do
- Perform vehicle teardown, including removing seats, trim panels, bumpers, headlights, and interior components.
- Install emergency lighting, sirens, computer mounts, prisoner partitions, consoles, wiring, and other specialized equipment.
- Install custom wiring harnesses, brackets, and electrical components.
- Read and follow installation plans, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Work with your team to complete vehicle builds safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while taking pride in producing quality work.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in working with vehicles.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Automotive experience, trade school, or hands-on mechanical hobbies are a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety documentation in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented mindset with a desire to help others succeed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment.
