Urgently Hiring: Pediatric RN In-Home Care and School for Child in Montrose, NY, Westchester County.
Join Sunshine Homecare Services – where compassion meets excellence in pediatric home care. We are seeking warm and dedicated Pediatric RN/LPN to deliver one to one quality, patient-centered nursing care to medically fragile child with complex health care needs at home and school.
Position Details
· Location: Westchester County
· Employment Type: Per-Diem, Full time, Part-time
· Schedule: Multiple open shifts
· Rate: $45-50/hr.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide direct care to child at home and school according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel.
- Travel to and from school on school bus as needed
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician.
- Document timely clear, concise, and accurate clinical notes in accordance with the plan of care using agency EMR system RN PAD
- Notify the RN Case Manager promptly of any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved RN program
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in acute/critical care/rehab setting. Home care/pediatric home care experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
- Current CPR Certification
- Valid NYS RN License
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of vents, trachs, oxygen, feeding tubes, urinary catheters, ostomies
- Understanding of pediatric disease processes and medication interactions
- Ability to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift over 20 lbs, move and carry medical equipment
- Work in patients home environment and school setting
