Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods if applicable
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring safety and engagement for toddlers and preschool-aged students
- Assess individual child development progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation
- Incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and early intervention strategies into lesson plans
- Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and collaborating with specialists when necessary
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding child welfare, progress updates, and behavioral management strategies
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; classroom management skills are highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention methods
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing child development instruction
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with child welfare regulations
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring special education support
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; Montessori certification is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of classroom experience standards such as preschool teaching practices and daycare regulations

Pay: $20.00 - $28.64 per hour
