Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood education strategies.
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by implementing specialized educational plans and behavior management techniques.
- Help create a nurturing environment by managing classroom routines, behavior management, and maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce lesson concepts, particularly in literacy, math, and preschool activities.
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and assisting with lesson planning under teacher supervision.
- Foster social-emotional development through effective communication skills and encouraging positive interactions among students.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop curriculum adaptations that meet the needs of diverse learners, including toddlers and preschool-aged children.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education concepts, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to various age groups from toddlers to preschoolers.

Benefits - Mon-Thursday 7:30-3:30 tentatively as well as opportunities to earn extra hours when possible.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
