Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kennel Assistant to join our dynamic dog care team. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for animals housed in the kennel, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring health status
- Support dog handlers on their daily task.
- Maintain accurate records of animal treatments, medications administered, and kennel activities in accordance with protocols
- Help manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and processing pet check-ins and check-outs
- Ensure kennel cleanliness by disinfecting cages, bedding areas, and equipment regularly to uphold hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or background in animal husbandry preferred; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and pet care practices
- Experience in animal handling, dog handling skills, and familiarity with restraint techniques required
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and follow aseptic procedures when necessary
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
