Job Title: Traveling Shift Lead
Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: R. Greenleaf (Cottonwood) | Albuquerque, New Mexico
Hourly Range: $19.00/hr with earning potential up to $25.22 per hour including tips*

- As a tipped industry, tips are and can be variable as a result of many factors, including shift availability, schedule, full-time/part-time status, hours of operations, weekends/nights, and specific dispensary. Our wage range is a realistic representation of the overall earnings opportunity when joining the Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain team, which includes prominent banners such as Star Buds, LivWell, and EveryDay Weed.
Position Objective
As the Traveling Shift Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of various store locations by covering shifts for vacations and open slots. You will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency and delivering exceptional customer service while traveling between multiple stores. This position requires being on call, with the flexibility to travel to multiple locations in a day based on business needs. A schedule will be provided for planning purposes, but extreme flexibility is essential. As a critical non-supervisory role, you will assist Store Directors and Assistant Managers in upholding company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, ensuring a positive customer experience at every location.
Customer Service (40%)

Provide a friendly and welcoming experience to customers at multiple store locations, assisting them with product selection and information.

Offer detailed product guidance, answering questions and helping customers find suitable cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.

Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction across locations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environments to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Collaborate with team members to suggest improvements and share customer feedback, contributing to store success.
Cash Handling and Transactions (25%)

Support the team in training staff on proper cash handling and transaction procedures.

Work together with colleagues to perform daily cash reconciliation and reporting.

Collaborate with the finance department to enhance cash flow and financial efficiency.

Participate in routine cash register audits to verify accurate cash handling.

Assist in refining and simplifying cash handling procedures for the team.

Help colleagues with advanced cash register functionalities for smoother transactions.
Inventory Management (15%)

Ensure that products are properly organized for easy restocking and accessibility.

Work closely with the inventory team to maintain accurate inventory levels at multiple stores.

Support in-store promotions and sales strategies to help manage and move inventory.

Collaborate with team members to monitor supply chain performance and provide feedback for process improvements.

Report on product trends and customer preferences to help drive sales and ensure proper stock management.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred.

Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.

Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

The schedule will vary based on business needs, and extreme flexibility is essential for this role.

Must be willing to travel between multiple store locations as needed, often with short notice.

Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day

Stores are open 7 days a week, with hours from 8:00 am – 11:45 pm (depending on the location).

Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler License to support safe and compliant handling of cannabis products.
