Medical Biller / Poster
Outpatient imaging center with 3 locations (Clear Lake, Pasadena, Scarsdale) has full-time Medical Biller and Poster position available.
We expect a high level of professionalism from our staff. Qualified applicants must be reliable, possess a friendly and positive attitude, and have excellent customer service skills. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately enter patient demographics, billing data, and charges for services at all locations

Prepare and submit insurance claims for services rendered, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines

Review and analyze patient accounts, verifying financial and demographic information

Follow up on unpaid and denied claims, working to resolve any discrepancies or issues

Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts in accordance with established procedures

Process credit card payments

Assist in the resolution of billing inquiries by patients and resolve issues related to billing discrepancies

Provide office support as needed, including receptionist relief
Qualifications:

High school graduate

Proven experience in medical billing and coding (1+ year preferred)

Knowledge of insurance processes, medical terminology, and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)

Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

Medisoft experience (Preferred)

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards

Medical Billing/Coding Certification (Preferred)
