American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience and pediatric experience, with call responsibilities included.

Pediatric cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit within a large children's hospital
-
Patient population includes neonates through adults with complex congenital heart disease, including diagnoses such as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Tetralogy of Fallot, Double Outlet Right Ventricle, Dextrocardia, and other congenital cardiac and great vessel malformations

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Call requirement of 1–2 call days per week, plus two 48-hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks

Required on-call response time of 30 minutes

Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass and specialized cardiac trays and OR equipment preferred

13-week contract

Active OH or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required

Pediatric OR experience required

Experience in cardiothoracic (CT) surgery and scrubbing in CT procedures preferred

COVID-19 vaccination required; no medical or religious exemptions accepted

Two professional references required for consideration

Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Responsibilities include circulating, maintaining patient safety, assisting during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures, and facilitating surgical time-outs

First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the 2-year specialty experience requirement

Candidates who were previously employed at this facility must have a termination date at least 1 year prior to the contract start date

RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application to be considered; a maximum of 5 RTO days is allowed

Block scheduling is not permitted, except for weekend-only (Friday–Sunday) requests
