At Charter Senior Living, our mission is simple: To Enhance the Human Spirit.
We're looking for an experienced Regional Director of Memory Care & Resident Programming who is passionate about creating exceptional dementia care experiences while developing high-performing community leaders across our organization.
This is more than a programming role—it's an opportunity to influence the quality of life for thousands of residents by mentoring teams, implementing innovative person-centered programming, and driving excellence across multiple senior living communities.
If you're energized by coaching others, solving complex challenges, and helping communities reach their full potential, we'd love to meet you.
As the Regional Director of Memory Care & Resident Programming, you'll serve as the operational and clinical programming expert for communities throughout your assigned region.
You'll partner closely with Executive Directors, Memory Care Directors, Health & Wellness Directors, and Regional Operations leaders to elevate memory care programming, strengthen leadership teams, and ensure Charter's signature programming is consistently delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
Coach, mentor, and develop Memory Care Directors and Programming Leaders across multiple communities.
Champion Charter's Grow, Thrive, Flourish philosophy and person-centered programming model.
Provide hands-on support to communities through onsite visits, coaching sessions, and operational assessments.
Train community teams on dementia care best practices and Montessori-inspired programming techniques.
Ensure programming excellence while maintaining compliance with company standards and state regulations.
Evaluate resident engagement, quality outcomes, staffing models, and program effectiveness.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement action plans.
Partner with Operations, Sales, and Clinical leadership to strengthen occupancy, resident satisfaction, and family engagement.
Support new community openings, leadership transitions, and communities requiring additional operational support.
Stay current on emerging dementia care research, regulatory updates, and innovative programming practices.
You're a servant leader who enjoys developing people as much as developing programs.
You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy traveling, and understand that every community has unique opportunities and challenges.
You build trust quickly, coach with empathy, and hold teams accountable for delivering exceptional resident experiences.
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Memory Care or Dementia Care.
Multi-site leadership, regional leadership, or corporate support experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, behavior management, and person-centered programming.
Experience implementing or leading Montessori-inspired or similar engagement philosophies.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional leadership teams.
Ability to analyze community performance and develop actionable improvement plans.
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Gerontology, or related field preferred.
