Laser Machine Operator
Express Employment on 99th and Fort is recruiting for a Laser Machine Operator for a local Omaha client!
Position Details:
Type: Evaluation Hire
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Omaha, NE
Pay/Salary: Starting at $18–$22/hr (based on experience)
Job Duties:
- Operate laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and fabricate metal components according to specifications
- Set up machines, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and selecting appropriate programs
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety regulations
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production goals
- Document production runs, machine settings, and adjustments
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1–3+ years of experience operating laser cutting machines (CNC or similar equipment preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety standards
