We are currently seeking a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the State of Florida to join our expanding team.

Position Summary
The Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern will provide outpatient therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families while practicing under supervision requirements established by the State of Florida. This role offers flexibility, clinical support, and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative private practice environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling services to children ages 5 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families
- Conduct relational, family systems, and biopsychosocial assessments to inform treatment planning
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client goals and systemic considerations
- Conduct individual, couples, family, and relational therapy sessions as clinically appropriate
- Provide services through in-person and telehealth platforms
- Maintain availability for evening appointments (up to 7:00 PM) and limited weekend hours based on client needs
- Complete clinical documentation within established timeframes, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation
- Collaborate with caregivers, referral sources, schools, medical providers, and community partners when clinically appropriate
- Participate in supervision and consultation activities in accordance with Florida requirements for Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Interns
- Maintain ethical, professional, and culturally responsive clinical practice
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in good standing in the State of Florida
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field from an accredited institution
- Experience working with children (ages 5+) and families
- Strong understanding of family systems, relational dynamics, and systemic approaches to treatment
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain documentation deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing services through telehealth platforms
- Experience working with couples, blended families, co-parenting concerns, trauma, behavioral concerns, and relationship challenges
- Training in evidence-based relational and systemic treatment approaches
- Experience utilizing family systems and attachment-based interventions
