Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security protocols to safeguard organizational data and systems.
- Monitor network activity using advanced security tools to detect and respond to potential threats or breaches promptly.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses proactively.
- Manage user access controls, permissions, and authentication processes to ensure only authorized personnel can access sensitive information.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system configurations align with security best practices and compliance standards.
- Investigate security incidents thoroughly, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to continuously enhance security measures.
Experience
- Proven experience in systems administration with a focus on cybersecurity or information security roles.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption technologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or CIS Controls.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues quickly and effectively.
