Triboro Youth Theatre is building its roster of Production Directors for the 2026–2027 season. This posting covers all four grade-level programs across our Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 sessions. Candidates may apply for one program or several — it is common for a single director to lead multiple productions in a season.
This is a production-based role. You will direct a full-scale musical from first rehearsal through closing night, working alongside a Music Director and Choreographer as a unified creative team.
Every registered student gets a role. No one is cut. Auditions determine placement only.
FALL 2026 (September–November)
WINTER 2027 (January–March)
Both sessions run the same four programs:
- Grades K–2: 1 rehearsal/week · 1 hour · 8–10 weeks · Stipend $1,200–$1,800
- Grades 3–5: 2 rehearsals/week · 90 minutes · 8–10 weeks · Stipend $2,000–$3,500
- Grades 6–8: 2 rehearsals/week · 90 minutes · 8–10 weeks · Stipend $2,500–$4,000
- Grades 9–12: 2 rehearsals/week · 2 hours · 10–12 weeks · Stipend $3,000–$5,000
All stipends are per production, commensurate with experience.
Candidates engaged early enough may participate in show selection. Staff hired for Fall or Winter sessions are encouraged to apply for Summer programs as well.
