Plumbing Service Technician

Job Description:
Responsibilities of this position include diagnosing problems and utilizing equipment and technology to perform a variety of service-based plumbing and drain calls including but not limited to drain cleaning, jetting, video inspections of main lines, and various minor plumbing repairs for both residential and commercial customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and replacement of kitchen & bath sink faucets, drains & P-traps.
- Troubleshoot and clear common clogs (toilets & drain lines).
- Repair and replacement of toilet flush mechanism & wax ring.
- Repair dripping tub faucets.
- Repair leaking toilets.
- Explain reasons for blockage and illustrate how you will resolve the issue
- Complete all drain cleaning, jetting and cable work related to service calls
- Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business
- Protect drain cleaning and camera equipment and keep a well inventoried truck
- Work as a team with dispatch and other technicians and plumbers.
- Providing time and cost estimates beforehand to clients and the office as needed.
- Communicating effectively with clients, especially when a job is taking longer than expected.
- Being polite and respectful of clients and their homes or businesses at all times.
- Ensure proper daily documentation of activities
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction from start to finish on every project.
- Must be available for on-call rotation (evenings and weekends).
Competencies and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and ability to make on-the-job applications
- Experience in drain cleaning and/or video inspections
- Hydro jetting experience
- Personable and professional
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Demonstrate ability to manage time well, problem solve and multitask
- Basic computer knowledge
- Clean, safe driving record
Physical Requirements/working conditions:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
- Must be able to drive a truck with a trailer, No CDL required
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to use hand and power tools
Job Type: Full-time with an on-call rotation
