REPORTS TO: Band Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for a Band Camp Clarinet Instructor for the week of band camp, August 3-7, 2026. Must be a current employee of EduStaff or willing to become an employee of EduStaff.
Employment will begin August 3, pending completion of Edustaff registration and all required paperwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attendance at band camp
-
Assist with show design
-
Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill to the clarinet section

Creating a positive, while challenging and competitive environment for students to achieve excellence

Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Experience in marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred

Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level

Extensive knowledge of woodwind technique and instruction

Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team

Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members and directors

Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity
