Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Executive / Senior Estimator to lead the estimating, planning, and execution of complex demolition, environmental remediation, selective demolition, Asbestos Abatement, and specialty contracting projects throughout New York City and the surrounding region.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing major project pursuits, managing client relationships, directing project teams, and ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, business development skills, and extensive experience within the demolition and environmental construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Lead the preparation of detailed estimates, budgets, and competitive bid proposals.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and evaluate existing conditions.
- Develop demolition methodologies, project schedules, and execution plans.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor solicitation, scope reviews, and bid evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in presentations, interviews, and project award negotiations.
Executive Project Oversight
- Provide executive oversight of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Direct project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, productivity, and profitability.
- Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and project forecasts.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.
Client Relations & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
- Identify new business opportunities and assist in strategic growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and networking functions.
- Support long-term client retention and repeat business efforts.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Maintain working knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings (DOB), DEP, OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Oversee permitting, environmental compliance, and project documentation requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company safety standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in demolition, environmental remediation, construction management, or related industries.
- Proven experience estimating and managing large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional, and public-sector projects.
- Strong understanding of demolition means and methods, environmental regulations, and construction practices.
- Demonstrated success leading project teams and managing client relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent financial management, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Bluebeam, and construction estimating software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with structural demolition, interior demolition, asbestos abatement, lead remediation, and environmental services.
- Existing relationships with developers, general contractors, consultants, and public agencies throughout the NYC market.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience managing projects exceeding $5 million in value.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
