Performance Responsibilities:

Creates positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, parents, administrators and professional agencies who work on behalf of the student.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret teacher directions and follow through with schedule of instruction.

Ability to work with individually or with small group to reinforce learning of academic material introduced by the teacher.

Ability to assist with supervision of individual, small group or whole classroom as needed for emergency drills, safety plans, school assemblies, field trips.

Ability to be a positive role model and consistently follow through with positive behavioral supports in all educational settings.

Participates in research-based academic instruction and behavior crisis intervention training as requested.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of licensed teachers and directs family communication to appropriate licensed personnel.

Willingness to be a team member who is flexible, open to ongoing professional development and can positively accept change on behalf of student or program improvement.

Additional duties may be assigned based on specific student or classroom need.
Qualification in ONE of the following:

Completed two years of college 60 hrs.

Hold a two-year degree
-
Pass State ParaPro Exam
