Overview
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Manager completes various management, organization and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse receiving, storage and shipment processes. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management to enhance productivity and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Duties
- Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs.
- Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities, seek alternative ways to resolve them and present improvements to management.
- Implements decisions or initiates action within a reasonable time; targets important areas for innovation, monitors results and adjusts as needed.
- Understand and manage cycle counts, inventory management, and costs.
- Verify the reporting of all damage, shortage or other exceptions and coordinate with Purchasing/ Accounts Payable for reconciliation.
- Investigate Purchase Orders – missing product.
- Make judgement calls on locations for excess inventory, and identify potential for space efficiencies by working with Procurement/Vendors.
- Prioritize warehouse layout to maximize efficiency of operation, demonstrate product knowledge and applications.
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with upper management.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Supply Chain Manager regarding staffing levels, and employee discipline.
- Work with customers and delivery lead to resolve delivery issues .
- Handle customer complaints and returns with a Penco Service approach while upholding company policies.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace, hold employees accountable for unsafe acts.
- Establish and enforce standards to promote a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, aisles and workstations neat.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operations management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with transportation planning and logistics coordination.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Knowledge of supply chain management best practices is highly desirable.

- Warehouse management: 3 years (Preferred)
- Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
